PaintCare utilizes magazine advertisements in California and Colorado for public awareness about paint recycling and how PaintCare is helping the public do something with its leftover paint.
In magazine advertising, PaintCare utilizes one or more of it's five key messages about paint recycling (Buy Right, Store Right, Use It Up, Give It Away, Recycle The Rest). Some ads include at least two, some all, depending on the magazine the ad will be placed in or where it will run.
To determine which message(s) to center the ads around, we first understand which magazine(s) the ad will run in and consider the demographic. We then build a concept for the ad and decide whether new photography is needed or whether we have the proper images on hand. Content is written first before deciding on the final image to be used. Then the ad is built to the magazine's production specifications, sent to review, and final artwork is sent to our agency before being sent to the magazine for production.

This ad was run in MNI magazines (HGTV, Country Living, Elle Decor, etc.) in CA and CO. Since these magazines are filled with DIY's and tips on painting and decor, we chose a design concept that uses PaintCare's Buy Right, Use It Up, and Recycle The Rest messaging to show the planning stage of a DIY painting project.

Ad for Welcome Home Magazine in CO, targeted toward new home owners. The concept of this ad addresses those new home owners who may be starting painting projects, telling them that PaintCare is available to help with the leftover paint they may have.

Ad for HGTV Magazine. The concept of this ad was a refresh of a similar, dated photo where every element was green. PaintCare has since refreshed it's creative to use blue as a more dominant color, while also allowing the other brand colors to shine. Using all five key paint recycling messages invites all types of readers to find information on one of the paint problems they may have.
